I’m pleased to announce that my brand new home recording studio / booth is finished!
Having decided I needed a new voiceover booth, my talented husband built one for me, using a converted shelving area that was previously used as a shoe cupboard… Yes, I do have that many shoes…!
Most of the shelves were removed, the walls and roof were reinforced and extended, and we’ve used a fantastic soundproofing membrane. The inside has been covered in acoustic foam. We’ve also used 4 curtains and the membrane as a door which I have to say has worked very well.
The finishing touch is the beautiful final curtain that I have covered the outside of the booth in. It’s a lovely fabric which reminds me of the gorgeous cherry blossom tree outside our house, recently cut down by the council. I love my new booth – check out the photos of the transformation below!
